hi, i m tryin to introduce top feed for my 3.5 mth old daughter but she wudnt take tht milk even after 8-10 days of tryin. she hates the bottle so i tried using glass/spoon which doesnt seem2b working either. how long does it take for a baby to accept milk or other food?she is only taking breastmilk right now Rashmi replied. Thank You :) I think u r right. i have been tryin to use the bottle whn she is asleep n she has started takin a lil but hates it whn she is awake. guess i wil have to use the harsh way myself, i hav sufficient BM but have difficulty whn i hav to travel. how is ur baby doin??? where r u located? Ekta replied. I've a 9 month old girl, I had the same problem as urs. Well coz I was not having enough BM I was forced to give her formula at the age of 4 1/2 months, but she was not at all ready for a bottle. (If you re having enough BM I don't think u need to introduce her to any kind of formula at the age of 3 1/2 months).

I tried for a couple of days, but nothing worked .. n she was hungry most of the time, i had to do something, sorry i was a bit harsh on her one morning when she woke up all I gave her was a bottle, of course she didn't take it, started getting a bit cranky, all i did was take her out for a walk, offer her bottle again, after almost 4 hrs, she was ready for the bottle. But the next feed it was again the same .. I had to do it for like 2 days n she was ok. Ever since then she is on formula.

Solids was not that hard :-).
