Hi Priya and Sneha

I got to read your posts only today and I should say that they really suck !Let alone all the \";imagine being in my shoes and in-laws\"; and blah blah ..given all that ,you people and your pathetic tell tales of woes stinks.I should tell you that Im the first child for my parents and after me being a girl,they werent afraid of going for another kid(who turned out to be a boy).But till date,I remain the apple of my prents and all my relatives eye.To tell you truly ,my mom loves me more than my brother.I have a lot of cousins who have 2 daughters and they are real happy about it.But you two (and dont know how many will join the band wagon if we create a poll)have such minds and thoughts that you can go back and live in caves.

Priya,about your mil pressurising for a son after your sil had 2 sons ,if you had any knowledge of science,you could silence your mil by telling her that her son(ur hubby)'s sperms determines the gender and not you.How convineant to shift the blame on in-laws for yor hipocracy! And also about your blooming logic of if you get a son first then you can easily plan your next pregnancy,so you mean to say you wont be paranoid wondering whether its a boy again,what a sadicism !Im totally outraged at Sneha's post of asking to find out the foetus's sex b4 12 weeks. If any of you two were to live a decade back in south India when female infanticide was rampant ,Im sure that your girl foetus would never have survived a chance.

u find my post pathetic ,it is not that we dont love daughters my daughter is still most precious to me ..
u know prior to getting married i used to talk alot about women injustice ,gender sensitasition ,women lib ...blah blah
but when u see the society where your kids have to survive you want the best for them,
i know women in our society suffer and are the ones who are alwys expected to sacrifice ...is nt it true
one p[erson or a whole many person cannot change society in one day or 2 decades
u cannot ignore these facts
and ask those women who suffered ,didnt they hoped that wish they were male in this society
u can say easily because u are notr in ouir boat ...i was also the same
but only the one who has paion knows what it is
for some it is easy 'i dont care' attitude ,but some of unfortunate ones are made to care by their husbands not verbally then physically
u are lucky u dont have husband or mil like pryas
my view may sound pathetic to you but ask others who are in same boat ...atleast i am honest about it

and one more thing it doesnt mean that we love our daughter less ....ur parents loved you thats great and had been another sister they would have loved her too ,it is not question of love period.,
