I read an article in times last week about IVF ,they say it has a risk of unhealthy baby i.e 30.WITH DEFECTS.So my worry is after taking so much risk tension of IVF and finally this is the end result means......Please anyone who have delivered a healthy baby with IVF and ICSI please reply.I think next month i may have to go for IVF.please reply anyone delived healthy baby with IVF. I think the newspaper people should get thier facts verified before they write such nonsense!! If the fact was that IVF leads to a greater risk of unhealthy babies, do you think so many people would be willing to get into it in the first place?? YOu should have a tlak with your doctor.
For me, IVF was a bon, a godsend.. it enables me to have a biological baby which otherwise would not have been possible by way of natural conception. In fact, after I conceived I was asked to go in for amniocentesis to confirm if my baby was indeed without defects.. due to my advanced age that was risk I carried. But my fears were unfounded.. my baby is bonny, healthy and an absolute joy!!!! In fact, my sonologist told me that he had never in all his years of experience come across an IVF baby born with defects...The risk of an unhealthy baby would be the same as a baby born by normal conception. So lay aside your fears and go for it. Wish you all the success.
