Hi friends,
i will be undergoing ivf/icsi nxt month.when i asked the Dr. abt when can i fly back(i stay abrod n came here for treatment) Assistant Doc said 2nd day after Embryo transfer i can go back. but when i had my 1st ivf in bangalore the doctor told me complete bed rest until peg test but sadly that ivf failed. so guys plz help me in this regard. how many days i have to rest? my flight journey would be 10 hrs with breaks. is it safe to travel after ET? i dont want to stay in india if it is not necessary.bcoz my in-laws n mom' s places do not have easy access to air or train n i have to travel by road der.plz advise is it safe to travel abroad after ET? or shud i sttay back? plz frnds write to me..thank u.

Good luck liki,
Even i m worried about traveling after embrio transfer, can we climb stairs? as my house is on the first floor. Plz let me know if i can travel? My home and hospital is 25 km apart so i will have to travel for 1 hr30 mins by road so will it affect by IVF any way?
Doc says its ok but i m still worried!?

Hi Litika,
I think its better to take bd rest after the embryo transfer. For at least a week. I know in the US they prescribe complete bed rest for at least 4-5 days after transfer. You are putting enough time and money into this...so my advice is to take all the precautions you can.

thank you very much for the advice.my hurry is bcoz am staying in a hotel for the treatment. so that homly comfort is missing. n i read many msgs saying to avoid outside food n eat home cooked food. right now am eating hotel food.so bit worried to stay back long here.Anyways thanks again. take care.
