Eating Problems:Does not sit and eat

My son is one year old and still eats only if at an incline or lying down, while I spoon stuff into his mouth. He eats quite well that way but does not eat from spoon in a sitting position.
Any advice? He basically doesnt lick the spoon at all and waits for food to be dropped in. I know its becoz of habit by now but how do I change it now?

Hi,
Try putting on good kid's program on TV. I know it's not good to let them watch TV at this age, but there are lot of good video cassttes for their age. They are very short and might keep them interesting. My daughter loved Baby Einstein videos (Especially Baby Mozart) when she was about 9 months old. She loved the music and she ate her food too. Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Try to get an attractive high chair. It might attract him to sit up. Also try making him eat in companies of children of his age, who sit up and eat. He might copy them.
