I need your suggestions regarding my decision of taking a break for one year from work. I have a kid who is completing 5 mnths in a few days. I joined back to work when he was 3.5 mnths old. I work in an IT company, and due to the recession, I am not in any project right now. I feel bad to leave my kid at home and come to work. I have been thinking if I shd quit and may be join work after a year or so, when the industry becomes fine. What do you think will the impact be in my family life? I stay with in-laws, my hubby is also in IT. We do not have any savings (thanks to my in-laws for that). Should I wait in the company until they ask me to leave, or shall I decide on the 1yr break and quit. Please suggest me. SM replied. I will suggest that u should continue with ur job.
I too have a baby who is 20 months old now and he stays with my in-laws. I know it is very difficulyt to manage with in-laws but situation will become worsen if u' ll stay at home. don' t be so emotional, give him the valuable time. He will be growing up in a family atmossphere. Arrange for a full -time maid , if possible so that she will be a helping hand for your MIL. If u' thing u will easily get a job after 1 yr, its not that easy. No body prefers to take the person who is joining after break. Obviously, if u' ll be at their place, u' ll also prefer a peson who is in touch with the things, not to who is joining after a break!!!
So have courage, be confident, give valuable time to ur child. As in-laws are there with u, u shd be happy that he is in safe hands!!!
