Happy to read ur note. Hearty congrats to u and ur spouse. I am also planning to go through IVF in May 2005 because of blocked fallopian tubes due to pelvic perinotis.
I am going to spend through my pocket as my insurance does not cover for infertility treatment like IVF.

I went through Beta 3 integrin assay test and both the cycle came out of phase. My Doctor asked us to go through IVF as we can't expect integrin for every one. I am really worried about the results. Do u have undergone that test?

I am going to take Birth control pills next month i.e. April. I heard that this Birth control pills can make people sick. I am worried about that.

I would like to know what are the precautionary measures to be taken before and after the IVF treatment. What kind of food should we take?
RohiniW replied. It took us time to digest the fact that we will have to go the IVF route to achieve success. We had a lot of questions. We started out objectively and I was not as emotional as I used to be I made myself tough. We had quite a healthy social life but for the 2 months of our IVF treatement we restricted ourselves we did not go out much anyways we had to follow a strict schedule of injections but still made a concious effort to stay put and also this made our bond grow stronger. I was amazed that my husband participated in administering the injections everyday that was in itself the most emotional part.
The most important thing : I had read on the internet about a research conducted in Europe, that acupunture helps a lot in relieving stress related to IVF. By nature I get stressed out easily so I had to get rid of this in order to succeed. I found a good acupunturist who had treated other ladies with such problems. Followed her schedule. I really like going there. It relaxs you. Do that if you can in conjunction with your IVF cycles it may help you. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY HERBS only get the acupunture therapy done because this will interfere with your IVF medications.
Since, we had conciuosly restricted our social life usually we cooked at home and enjoyed watching movies etc. so, pretty much ate home cooked food once in awhile of course we went out to eat:)

My doctor did not prescribe any BCP for me he prescribed agestin to induce my periods.

We underwent the long protocol for our IVF cycle.

Honestly, I have no idea about the Beta 3 integrin test. I remember one of the ladies had a post related to this particular test on this same board, you may have to search for it but it is not a very old post. The tests I went through were endometrial biopsy, HSG, several blood tests and of course my husband went through semen analysis.
