Hi Nikki,

We can never seem to understand the ways of the consulate...but please dont be too depressed, just focus on all the things going right and wait for the baby...you can check the doula services in your area, they are supposed to be great support during delivery and post partum...check for a certified doula, their web site is www(*)dona(*)org
But whether you chose to get help or not, please keep in mind always that you and your hubby are on the start of the most remarkable journey of your lives and all you need is your husband and baby, so look forward to it...dont feel too sad.

Take Care
Suni

Dear Nikki ,
Pls dont be sad for the sake of your cutie pie . It is terrible that your MIL's visa got rejected . It is downright cruel on part of the deciding authorities .
I have the following suggestions for you as we still have 5 weeks :
a)As Manvi said pls make arrangements to hire \";help/Nanny\"; for the first two weeks . Find someone who can cook for you too .
b) keep the phone number of lactation consultant handy .
c)Finaize a Pediatrician before the baby comes . Meet the doc beforehand so you are comfortable with him and can approach him with any doubts at a short notice .
d) Keep Smiling ....!!
Ritu

I understand you have been going thru' a challenging pregnancy so far. Those visa guys r heartless&there is no reason for the rejections they make people go thru.
It is traumatic for us to see our family go thru' this. But trust me we women are meant to go thru' labour& we can do it despite all odds.Nothing is impossible, you can call me or email me&be in touch.Just don't silently suffer.
During this time take help, from now itself you&your hubby start arranging for help in that first 2 wks atleast.Do u have anyone who can come&stay with you'll?
I think you have another 5 wks to go right,I pray you don't suffer anymore. But don't lose hope as soon as the baby arrives you will have lot of happiness&all this diabetes&itching will be gone.
My best wishes to you, just spend time talking to us&friends.Don't get depressed!!

Hi
I am so sorry to hear that. These embassy people always act on their personal whims and fancies. Its just bad luck.Don't worry ,u will be fine.Sometimes in life we have to go through the tough parts.
In a few weeks time u will have the baby and all the unhappy news and discomforts will all be forgotten.
And we are all here for you.
So take care ,u have ur husband and soon the joys of new parenthood will fill ur lives.

Hi nikki

Am so sorry..was hoping u would be successful second time esp. after i heard about ur rashes..don't worry. People are just insensitive..cannot say anything else. Its just their whim and our luck.
Keep up ur strength for a few weeks, another 2-3 weeks more will pass away soon and i am sure rashes will subside too. Try to be with friends /cousins if u have closeby and divert mind.
Take care. Just have one thing now to concentrate on and that is ur baby that u worked so hard to take care for these months..I am sure all the pains and discomforts will be forgotten once u hold ur baby in ur arms..think of that happy moment and keep going. I am sure all of us in the forum will help to cheer u up anytime u need a friend.
Take care.
Radhika
