hey archie and more experienced momstobe'

i am from the jan 06 board.i had my 1st u/s on day 41 or 5 weeks 6 days.my sac was 18 mm.the radiologist said it was ok and too early to say anything more and tht the picture wud b clearer in 3-4 days.tmy gynae has asked me to repeat the u/s after a week for fetal heartbeat. iam really worried can u guys tell me when exactly ur little 1's heartbeat appeared on the u/s? i was told tht it is there around week 6

anytime afyter 7 weeks, that's in to 8th week when the embryo is promoted in to fetus.

Just don't worry! Be relaxed & calm. By 8th week all is clear - the yolk sac & the heartbeat.. just a fortnight to go.

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine.
