Name: Worried Mommy

Hello All,
I started sending my 1 yr+few months old baby to a new babysitter. SHe is very good, no complaints but she said that she fed maggi noodles to my baby and baby liked it. But I remember reading some where that Maggi noodles are not good for kids health and I am concerned that in this young age I shouldn't give that.
Is this true?!! please some one reply.
Also some tips to tell my babysitter to stop giving maggi.

watch for products with hydrogenated oil, which is artificial and not good for health not only for bbaies even for adults. maggi has hydrogenated oil.

Hi
This is JV again. I forgot to mention that it does not matter if children eat maida-I read in the book called \";guide to my child nutrition\";. Children can eat white bread (maida) it does not mater much if they do not eat whole wheat bread. This book was recommended by my pd.
Hope this helps
JV

Dear Worried Mommy,
I think your baby likes noodle in general. I am sure He/she doesn't care for maggie in perticular. Reason Maggie may not be good idea for your baby is because it is generally maid out of \";Maida/All purpose Flour\";. To make it more nutritious You can buy whole wheat spagetti and give it to your babysitter and ask her to cook that. Or you can already cook and give it to your babysitter to feed your baby. Most babies love noodles.

Regarding telling your babysitter, don't worry about it. As long as you tell her nicely and explain it to her that you don't beleive giving Maggi to your child but you rather would have her feed Wheat spagetti, she will understand. (Remember : After all you are the PARENT and you have/SHOULD have all the control of what your baby eats) :)

Good Luck!

Thanks Shital for your quick reply and what can I substitute for Maggi. S
Sure, I should have the control over on what my baby eats. The place where I got stuck was how to convey this to the babysitter. But I will tell her about maggi and my feeling about it nicely.
Thanks a LOT for your suggestions, I appreciate it!
