Dear friends, I know this is hard, but I have two girls and we are trying for a boy, I am pregnant and I am 6 weeks, I want to do some test to determine what the sex of the baby is, how soon can you do the test and what are the tests...if it's a girl I want to get rid of it, my husband never wanted any more kids he was happy with two, but you know how it is a women always feels she has to have a boy and also these Indian ladies never stop bugging you to try one more time for a boy.....please help me I really need some advice.....thanks in a very painful situation.... guest replied. First of all what you are trying to do is absolutely horrible and second of all why did you pick this board to post your message. The people here have been trying to have a baby for 5-6 years and will give anything to hold a baby. And you are trying to find out how/when you can kill a baby. From the fact that you can use internet implies that you are educated. Unbelivable that such a person could have such thoughts. I feel so sorry for your two girls. Do you even love them?

While I can't help you with your questions, I would like to share something with you. I am the third girl in my family. I have 2 beautiful, affectionate elder sisters. When my mom was conceived with me, as early as 8 weeks of pregnancy, her midwife, my granny and granny's friends (these are all very old and experienced ladies) knew right away, that my mom is carrying a girl, again! The midwife even suggested my mom that she would help her abort me for free. Since, my parents already have 2 girls, poor and frankly they could not afford to have another girl. But, my mom stood up for her unborn child. She refused and told them that she couldn't care less about the sex of the baby. This happened almost 30 years ago in a very, very remote village!!!! Needless to say, all three of us made my parents very proud. And my parents told us so many times that they couldn't be happier to have 3 girls.

I can't believe in US, educated people like you would think otherwise! A baby is gift from God, be grateful for that. God will never forgive you, if you kill your child (what ever you may call - abortion or getting rid of it....it is KILLING!!)

I wonder in which age u r living ? amd what r u thinking.....and not all women feel the need to have a boy.

before taking a step like that, always remember, if God has chosen to bless you with a little angel take it as God´ s gift. Don´ t reject this little one whether it is a boy or a girl. Each child is as precious as the next one. How can you choose but to love it?
If you live by the norms other people set for you you will never be happy or satisfied with life. Count you life by it´ s blessings and not by taunts of nosy little busy-bodies. What difference does it make whether your child is a boy or a girl?????!
Just take it as God´ s gift and give it love, and nourishment. You are not living in the dark ages any more where a boy is an absolute must to carry on the \" family heritage\" .
How can you ignore something that is a part of you? and choose to get rid of it simply because it may be a girl?
Think your decision through. Isn´ t it just sufficient that you are blessed with 3 children and atleast know what it´ s like to be a parent?
