Hi all,
In my son'd case i first stopped giving him bottle & for some days his only calcium intake was thro yoghurt & cheese. once he forgot bottle he starting using sippy cups & now he drinks milk in sippy cup & straw cup. U need to be little hard hearted during the time when u wean them from bottle during nights & before going to bed.

Hope this helps

Dear worried mom,
Don't worry. Even I have 18 month old kid who refuse the sippy cup and still drinks from the bottle. I tried all the sippy cup that's out there but no luck. I got worried and talk to my pediatrician and she said not to worry. When kids are ready to let go... they will. If drinking from sippy cup is effecting their milk intake.... don't give them sippy cup if your child is not drinking from sippy cup. After all what is IMP is that they drink their milk even it's from bottle. I now give my son bottle and I am sure when he is ready to let go... he will. I am still trying sippy cup everyday and now he drinks water out of sippy cup so continue to try but don't push so hard that it becomes battle between you and your child.

Good Luck!
-Shital
