hi all,
i have been TTC for the last 7-8 months.. and my last period was in dec..i am plump& chubby but in the last two months..i can see my tummy growing.. and no change in rest of the body. i feel so preggy.. but not getting positive result.. my question is.. Does anyone know if being overweight might be affecting the Hcg levels.. and thus giving me a negative result..?? tuhina replied. hi archie, sheela n sunshine...
thanx for responding..well i havent had my periods since decmber.. n yes i have seen a gynaec... i took a HPT..rite after missing my period n tht was negative...but i came across someone's post.. on another site which said tht hcg levels take longer to show up in obese women..i have to go n get my tubes checked.... sometime next week.. so i was wondering if..i am preggy n it doesnt show???anyway..i have also had my blood test done in the first month of missing my period.. but nuthing came up in tht..the doc wants to know..if everything else is fine.. so ultra n tubes test...thanx again.. will keep u posted...

Go and get checked with Gynecologist.
hCG levels should be same or towards lower range at least for obessed girl. That's the hormone will help determine threatened miscarriage or stuff like that in pregnancy and does not go down unless some concerning situation exisit.

Failure of hpt (urine) means no pregnancy and you must check it out what's going on with your tummy.

Firstly, Have you consulted a Gynac? If not, do so. Go check out if your actually pregnant or is it something else.
If you cannot check by the urine, go for a blood test. That should give you the result too.
