hello archie,ther was no error in measuring the weight bcoz one time nurse and second time doc have measure it.and 4 labour possibility i m not feeling anything extra. everything is normal no contreaction no pain etc.as i mentioned be4 i m taking metformin to control my sugar prob,is it affecting me?i want 2 know again that is safe medicine for my my child or not ?infect my sugsar is undercontrol by using it.at my 1st week of preg my wg was 70 kg and it was constant till my 5th month and at 6th-72,7th-76,and than after 15 days the weight was78 kg .meanwhile my g.d. prob was digonesed and i was prescribed metformin.after using that my weight increase 1kg in next 15 days that 79 on10/11/05 and in my last checkup that was on 26/11/05 my wg decrease 1 kg .and now it is 78 kg .my next check -up is on 6th dec .so i have totally put on 8 kg wg till now and my e.d.d. iz 16 dec.and now my doc is saying that she will not wait 4 my full term she will induce labour after completing my 38th week . now tell me what is the reason of my wg loose. chinky archie replied. mostly it looks like a fluid retension case. you have had 76kg to 78 kg in 2 weeks that was too much to gain weight and then another 1 kg in next two weeks, still you could have lost as much as 1.5 kg. I don't see any trouble.
metformin is not a trouble.

I also have GD and not much change in wieght after I started new diet.
I came to know that I have GD when I was 28weeks and from 28-32 weeks no weight gain and 32-34 weeks 2 lbs I gained (I think because I started eating Paneer) and from 34-36 weeks no change in weight. So because of diet the weight may not change. As far as I know weight may decrease with metformin but not sure whether its good or not for the baby.
