Hi all!

Of late my 8 month old baby needs me around her all the time. If I am in front of her she does not go to anyone and when I am not around she always needs someone beside her.

I get a feeling she has got too dependent and I dont know why???Although I dont ferry her around but she just needs me to sit beside her even when she is playing with her toys.

I want her to get rid of this habit and be a little independent as she does not allow me to do any work when I am at home.

Archi pl. dont worry about this as this is just a phase n will pass, the reason she always want to be with u is cos she knows u r the one, WHO LOVE HER, take care of her, feed her, change her, etc she may not able to speak but she can understand that she is safe n secure when u r around. u can put her in walker or push chair n take her in the room in which u want to do some work.doing this she knows that u r there n u knows she is secure n tied in her walker or pushchair n u can carry on with your day to day work.
one thing u can do is leave her in the room then go behind the door n appear within couple of sec. n say peek-a-boo play this game, with this she will get a message that if u go u come back also.then slowly slowly increse the time of disappearing.
