Aggressive Kids:HELP

My son is 2yrs 7 months and is in nursery. He began school early. He loves going to school and is very happy there. My husband is on the ship and so is not always around. My problem is that for the past 8-9 months, when my son is corrected, he will say \" I' ll beat you\" and he does. Of late if he is in a foul mood and someone says talks to him too, he will say \" I' ll beat you\" . I try to tell him this makes me sad and talk to him abt this behaviour. But it has worked.
Also he doesn' t want to share anything. He wants others to share with him, but will not share his things.
I feel that he is missing his dad and cannot express this and I have tried talking to him abt it and he just won' t listen.....he just gets vague when I begin to talk to him. He is basically a loving child and is usually obiendient....just goes into these moods which off late have become too often....
Please help.....what can I do....

Hi,
reading your message, I felt they were just my own mind and words speaking,as I also have a 3 yrs son, well my husband is also on the ship and i have gone thru in fact going thru just what u have written. well one thing i wish to advise is the age they r in, its just a phase of their growing up,they will not be doing this for ever, one thing what I have realised they pick-up most of the habits from us, one is I have stopped raising my hand on my kids unless its for soemthing serious, talking to them into it does help and the most important is distract them with another topic or thing. sharing is another problem i face too with my son, I guess your is the only child...he needs to spend a lot of time with other kids...they need company of their own kind to learn...when i give him a chocolate i make sure he shares small bits with every one present around-or he does not get a single piece try it with everything, for their moods just make sure they sleep/eat well and follow a fixed time for everything...your husband not being around is not any reason for his present behaviour although i am also going thru the same, i guess with husbands not around...we center our kid as our whole life for each day, don' t b 2 worried he will change...as he grows keep him busy with physical activities/games.
regards, Marsha

Aggression in child
Hi Dr., My kid is of 3 years. He is a very aggressive at times when a thing he wants is taken by anyone, even if anyone touches it he starts crying loudly. He becomes so aggressive & start fighting with that person.
