Feeding:Baby weight normal????

I have a 1 year old son. His weight is 8 kg now. Is this normal? His birth weight was 3 kg. He does not eat at all. How to increase his weight??

according to the pediatric charts your son is below the 3rd percentile (my son is 13 months and weighing 7.60 kg) I have seen dieticians, occupational therapist, etc. I've been told to increase calories (how do we increase calorie intake when the kid DOESN'T eat!
I just read \";How to Get Your Kid to Eat...But not Too Much\"; by Ellyn Satter This is a must read for any mother having feeding problems. I'm sure you will find this very helpful. It's an ongoing struggle, but we have to over come it. Best of luck

The weight is normal as per doctors average wt shld be 3 time the wieght of baby born (birth weight)for increasing weight give butter in food tofu/spinach yogurt cheese custard or any other milk product safely after the baby is 18 Months old. Butter yogurt soft cheese & tofu are fine can be given now also.

hai jaya,
even i have a 1 yr old son.. his weight is 8.5.. my doc said his weight is normal as far as he is acitve.. even my baby is a fussy eater... right from birth to first year the baby's weight will have a high increase.. after that till 2nd year, there will be a gradual incrase may be till 12 kgs.. nothing to worry...
