When shud one get back to work after the delievery. Advisor replied. it varies from person to person. First and formost you need to be physically fit to return to work. Usually it may take somewhere between 4-8 weeks depending on your delivery. Then you need to be emotionally strong to stay away from the kid. some people prefer to take more time off like 3-4 months from their job to bond with the baby, some return within a month or two after they are fit.

Need to think of couple of things to make a choice:
1. How long you plan to offer to breast milk? The more the better. Is your work-place supportive of breast-feed, I mean do they have a private place where you can express milk and bring back home.
2. Flexibility at work-place. Initially its a good idea to negotiaite a flex schedule as you will be having emotional ups and downs all the time.
3. health of your kid. is he premature n all? Is it safe to leave him in others care.
4. Trust on an alternate care arrangement.

Again its best to spend as much time as possible with your kid as they grow so fast, going to work makes it harder so you need to make room by adjusting your schedule.

Whatever choice you make, be confident about yourself as a parent and don' t let others judge you or don' t feel guilty, babies pickup on mom' s anxiety and become more anxious, the more self-assured you will be, the easier time you are going to have raising your baby.
Best of luck! riya replied. depends uponur urgency to return ideally child should not be left uptill atleast 5 years becoz these are his devlopement years
but still you should atleast stay back with ur child for 7-8 months
