So, gals..the countdown has begun fr most of us..!
Just wanted to find out what is the kind of Braxton Hicks contractions are u having..as for me, I feel a bunching right at teh bottom of my belly just above the pubic area..its a tight bunching as if somebody is squeezing something inside..how is it for u??
My baby's head has dropped down...something that did not happen with my first one.
Just very tired these days, can't walk for long...util 2 weeks ago I was walking upto 90 minutes daily and now even 15 min is a drag!
Do ur docs do internal exams now...mine does not..sojust wanted to find out!
She does a brief ultrasound every week to check fluid levels...all good so far..and then NSTs twice a week...doing fine too.
How abt flu shot..have u taken it..what does ur doc say??
mine left it to me..i do not want a vaccine at this point..
Take care and write in ur updates!!!!

Hi Bhavana & all,
Same as Rids I cannot feel the Braxton Hicks strongly. But I can sometimes feel some pressure in my uterus as if something is coming down. My 38th week started this morning. I have to go for an internal checkup this Wednesday. Baby's head is down; I hope my doc sends me for an Ultra sound so that I know how much the baby weighs.....just curious.....
I am still working and my 2 year old daughter keeps me on my toes. My mom arrived from India this weekend so now I have help.
As far as, flu shot...my Doc left it on me and I have decided not take it. Just in case...you never know....about any side effects. You can always take the flu shot after the baby is born.
Keep us all updated with your progress.
Best of Luck.
Take Care,
Reshma.

Hi All,
Looks like most of us are going to deliver way before the delivery date. I am also starting with the 36th Week today. Same hicks for me too.. in the same area. I can feel the head of the baby inside. My internal checking is due in next week. I had NST hence forth each week now.
Last week NST was good, but baby was sleeping so was not able to record the movements. I was out of the hosp, and baby started movements.

So the countdown is really started, i am crossing each day on the callender when the day is finished.

All the best girls, keep posting the details.

Bye for now,
Pallavi

Hi Bhavna and others,

Im not able to feel Braxton Hicks very strongly. Just feel tightening of abdomen at times. But i can feel my babys position now. The head is down but it hasnt dropped or engaged. My belly is still up and out. I still have lot of energy and im able to walk and do most of the work ive been doing at home.

My doc doesnt do internal exam. I just had my US last week. Everything is ok except baby is large for the dates and hence im likely to deliver fast. My NST starts this week. I have to do it once a week.

My doc hasnt told me yet abt the flu shot. My urine report will come today. Doc was suspecting mild Urinary tract infection. If it exists then i have to take antibiotics.

Take care

Rids

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
