Hi Anish

I am in my 18th week and am a vegetarian too.We require more of fibre, iron, folic acid and calcium and also lots of fluids. For fibre,I consume fibre enriched bread, oat meal(excellent source) and tofu.I also eat a lot of green leafy vegetables like Brocolli, spinach which are high in iron and folic acid.Milk products compensate for the calcium.Fruits have become an essential part of my diet.Except fruits like Papaya,Mango which are rumoured to generate heat and can cause early contractions,I eat everything else. One more thing:Folic acid doesen't stay in the body for a long time as compared to others.A pre-natal multivitamin can give you good doses of it.

Good luck with the advancing pregnancy.

Sandhya
