Hi ! Can you pls suggest a good brandname for nursing bra and breast pads ?? Are there any considerations to be kept in mind before buying them ? Which stores carry these products ? How many should we buy ?
Best wishes,
Ritu

Hi Ritu,

Please go to the website for americanbaby(.)com, they give you detailed, easy-to-use instructions on how to measure for your maternity/nursing bra. It has worked very well for me. These bras are available at Target, all maternity stores, and even at BabiesRUs.
As for nursing pads, once again BabiesRUs carries an extensive range. What I did is, I bought two boxes of different brands to see which one I will end up liking. Since they will be so close to our skin, I assumed there will be personal preferences coming up in terms of comfort, hence I bought two brands, one of them was Avent, and the other Medela.

Hi Ritu,

Nursing bras I bought them from motherhood maternity. I think any brand should be fine for bras as long as you feel comfortable in them. I guess we need to add 1 or 2 extra size from now. Before pregnancy i was at 32 size. Now I at 36. So, I bought 38 bra size. I only bought 4 bras for after delivery use. Because we can see if they are Ok and then you can buy more of same size or less size or more size depending upon the changes.
Coming to the breast pads, I bought Gerber disposable breast pads (50) and 6 medela washable breast pads. These are not costly. I bought them in Burlington coat factory. You can also get them in Wall mart. I bought both disposable and washable, because at this point I am not sure which will work better for me. Thought will give a try and stick to one which suits for me.

Anu.
