I have been craving for gujju food a lot these days. Does anyone know any gujju food place in Bayarea or some lady who cooks at home and we can pick it up from her?
It's funny but I have been looking at gujju food on websites and thatshow I have been fulfilling my cravings so far.

Hi Arshiya,

I just spoke to my Gujarati colleague, and here is what he has to say:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
A few Gujarati restaurant we have gone to around here are either Ok or just bad. Krishna in Fremont is OK. We hated Kokila¡¦s Kitchen in Cupertino the one time we went there but I have known others to say good things about it.
One place I have heard of is Milan in Milpitas; it¡¦s near the (Swaminarayan?) temple on Abel. I have eaten some catering from there and it was good.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope you satisfy your craving soon. Let us know on Monday what you did about it this weekend. I keep forgetting, are your parents coming?

Vindhya,
Thanks for this information. I have been to Milan and it's pretty ok not sooo good. I will try Krishna this weekend.
I will let you know for sure on Monday how it goes. My parents are here but in East coast. My mom will be here after Diwali.
Hopefully, baby will hold on until then:)

Hi Nithya,

I know someone told me about this place long time back and I was planning to go there, but some of other friends told me it's horrible not at all good food. So, I changed my mind about going there.

Tina, Ragda pattis kinds of thing you can find at few places but I have been craving for traditional gujju food like how rasam and sambhar is for S. Indians. But, I will definitely try this place.

Take care

Hi Arshiya

Did you do some research in Fremont for gujju food that is your best bet. Otherwise I do know for a fact that they serve ragda patties at Deedee's Indian Fast Food, (650) 967-0568, 2551 W Middlefield Rd, Mountain View. They might have some other gujrati dishes as well you might want to check out.

take care

I know, even in east coast there are lots of restaurants but too bad haven't found any good one here yet:( Also, I don't know how to cook all guju food. Lucky you, get dosa everywhere here, I just had them on Sunday at Udupi Palace.
Whatever you said in gujju, first two I know. But, don't know what's the third one:) I am not that good at guju anyway. Good try though:)

I was in Chicago a while ago and it seems like there are so many restaurants that serve gujju food.... I haven't seen any here...

Luckily, there are lots of south indian restaurants - so whenever I want to eat Dosa (thats what I crave for the most) I get one.. dont mean to make u jealous but he he he... ;)

You poor thing, you satisfy your cravings by looking at pics of food... I will surely look into it (my Indian grocer is a gujju, so will ask him when I see him - sometime this week)...
the only thing I know how to say in gujarati is - su che, saaro che, danda leve maroche..

Avi,

Since you like Dosas a lot, I was wondering if you were from south.

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.

Thanks in advance
