Good that u are trying milk now. keep up the spirits. If u are not able to tolerate rasam sambar, etc, just stay away from it. May be u can try some steamed beans beet roots, etc. Concentrate more on fruits and fresh juices as it can compesate the other stuff which u aren't taking. If u don't tolerate the smell of gravies why don't u try some mixed rice varieties like coconut rice and lime rice, and if u like u can have one or 2 chappatis with some subji. But normally doctors advice pregnant ladies to eat even though u vomit, so that u could retain atleast little bit of food. But don't worry this nausea is just temporary and slowly after ur 4th mth or so u will certainly get out of it and can start eating well. till then try and take more of fruits, juices and milk.Do let me know if u feel better.

hi,
Looks like u too are facing the same problem that i faced, as i too hate to drink milk and hate its smell. But now as my doc has adviced me to drink pelnty of calcium rich milk i take atleast 2 glasses of 1% calcium milk, and believe me u will get used to it slowly. First few days of course we will feel sick of its smell. do not add sugar to ur milk it might increase ur vomitting sensation. U can try addding few drops of rose milk essense without sugar, and refrigirate it and drink after a while. Though i too couldn't stand the smell of milk , i could tolerate the chilled rose milk. Ur mind plays a greater role in this. Think to urselves that its good for u and ur child and u can tolerate it, u surely will succeed. And if all these tricks too don't work why don't u try the strawberry or chocolate milk. We have so many varieties here. If not u can take few cups of fruit based calcium rich yogurt, its an ideal food in terms of calcium and its also fat free. U surely will be able to tolerate yogurt rather than milk and also try taking some puddings or ice creams. Its also said that garlic is too good for pregnant women. So why don't u try some garlic rasam or just add few peels to ur usual meals.U can also drink some home squeezed orange juice.U can also try having some lemon pickes with ur daily food as it might help u with vomitting. And normally the nausea will vanish after ur 4th or 5th month and after that u can eat anything u like. If u have any more concerns feel free to write to me again. wishing u good luck with ur baby.

Hi,
I too faced the same problem while i was pregnant. Try and avoid intake of oil as much as possible, as the smell of oil aggravates ur sensation to vomit more. After each session of vomitting drink a glass full of lemon juice. Also stay away from kitchen when u cook dal and rice, as i learnt all these from my personal experience. Eat a lot of greens like spinach, and beans. U can compesate ur solid intake by milk as milk is beneficial for ur baby. Apart from this take few dates everyday as it contains lot of iron and eat plenty of fruits.
