dear friends

i need all of ur sugeation if having known about hernia and gerd reflux.
iam very much worried and tensed about my three and half year old daughter.
she is diagnosed for paraumblical hernia, which cannot be fine without surgery.
and also for gerd reflux because of which is not increasing weight height hairs overall growth is poor.
she vomits a lot, because of which her school dev,and social dev is getting affected.
she can not laugh or play much or cry because immediately after that she vomits
doc says that i should go for both reflux and hernia surgery at same time.
and other doc says i should only go for hernia surgery and not for reflux.
because the second one is more complicated and with med. only and by keeping precaution like sleeping with pillow, not immediately after food, eat less but frequent not eat spice and fried. not jump not cry etc.

iam confused, i feel guilty of stoping baby doing things which kids love to do, like playing laughing not eating at all icecreams and choclates.
iam puting so much restriction on my baby. then also she vomits in midnoght while sleeping.

please please help me with ur sugestions what should i do to make my childs life happy and normal

thanks a lot
kamal

RE:Consticipation for 4 years old
This is an old thread but one thing no-one said was that exercise is important for gut motility. All the green veg and pear juice will be limited in their effectiveness if the kid isn't very physically active (just walking more and driving less helps!)
Also, my usual comment - use a child-size glycerin suppository if he's gone for two or more days without doing a do.... - Suzanne [View Message]
