Hi All,
Have you guys selected pediatrics? I am going tomorrow for prenatal visit to ped's office. Hopefully I like them since I don't have much choice for selecting or seraching for a ped. I am thinking to ask following question...any suggestion/comments if you guys have let me know
1. If they accept new babies and take insurance? such as Aetna, BCBS, Kaiser..
2. What are there hours? Walk in's are allowed?
3. How many doctors are there?
4. Do they have 24 hrs on call doctor/nurse?
5. Do they have seperate sick room and well room?
6. Do they have special weekend office?
7. Emergency - are the doctors available
8. does the doctor visit the hospital when baby is born?

Also look for doctor's office which is close to your office, Since first year you have to make more frequent visits...

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
