Dear friends, went ti doc to fix for hysteroscopy for polyp removal in feb.

but asked me to do it this wednesday itself.
went for ultrasound.....and the new sonologist is telling me that there is also a fibroid.now what is this? is it something dangerous? everytime i go for sonography there is some new discovery...and definately an unfavourable one.
is it a cancer ? im terrified now.

im not finding solution on one thing and there is something else coming up.

please tell me if anybody knows what is this fibroid now. will it have to be removed too? can it grow back again ?what will be its effect?

I know one of my colleague had fibroid when she was pregnent, doc advised her to take bed rest for few months and she delivered a healthy baby boy.If size of the fibroid is really big get it removed while having ur hysteroscopy.Don't be panic& please be optimistic.
take care. pridu replied. dear sonia, even my mom concieved and delivered my sis while she had fibroids, she got it removed after my sis was born. it really doesnt harm i guess. but naturally u will be worried, dont worry...take care.

my mom conceived and delivered me while she had a fibroid. it is no cause for worry. some women live all their lives with it and it doesnt bother them.
most women have very very small fibroids.
someone i know took homeopathic treatment to shrink it .
it doesnt affect conceiving and shudnt normally cause any problems.

Dont worry, i have a fibroid and i am pregnant. Fibroids are mucles tumors.Althoufgh i am using the word tomour there is nothing to be alamed of these are non cancerous growth of muscle which occur in women of reproductive age. If you experience pain of heavy bleeding you can get it removed. Many women pass their whole life with fibroids without surgical removal if you are not getting these symptoms i have listed.
Priya whynot replied. dear sonia...whtas ur sun sign?god!! we are sailing in the same boat.first of all...dont worry.its not cancer.i had it and got it removed.it was 6cms.initially my doc(fertility)said need not remove it. then i went to my gynaec. he said lets remove.so got it out when it was 6cms. wait till u doc. says something.
