Hi Friends
If anyone would help me with my doubts..i will be thankful...
Myself and my husband are trying for a baby for the past three months...I will be getting my periods regularly on a particular date every month. I will calculate my ovalutating dates and try on those days. This month i could feel that i'm not pregnant ...but i'm suppose to get my periods today(11th jan, last periods was 11th dec)but i din't get it...since we are trying sometimes my cycle changes..otherwise while we were using condoms i will get it regularly on a particular date every month...i'm worried that if my periods date changes like this when i'm trying...whether this will affect my conceiving...i'm very much worried that i should conceive soon...due to very many family probelms and most all i would love to have a kid for me, myself and its a mental support for me..if anyone could clear my doubts i would be highly thankful...

Dear Mee,
I think this is a very common problem with Indian families and to a lesser extent with western families as well that family care to have newly wed couple to have baby soon possible and why not, it's nature feeling. It's different that whether they will be there when you need them:)

Trying for 3 months and failure is not a concern at all, try it for one year without any concerns, relaxed life style and if you don't get pregnant even after one year of trial then get worried to see a gynecologist and bring your husband to urologist.

If you periods are normal and of 30-31 days cycle why not to avoid intercourse for first 12-13 days and start intercourse from 13th day from your appearance of period. Do not bed more than once in 24 hours and stop having intercourse from CD17 (17th day from your period appearance).

I think you should hang out for about 5 days and take a EPT test with your First Morning Urine, provided you do not get period. It's OK to get periods invariable while having unprotected sex, it's natural in some girls.

Remember not to stress, more you stress the more problems to conceive and also when you are pregnant try to stay out of worries that can cause lot of disturbances in fetal development and sometime miscarriage or missed abortion or even fetal demise.

Hi Archie,
We have been trying to have baby since one year, and my periods have been regular till July'04. There was a delay of 10 days in Aug, and that was when i consulted a gynecologist. Despite normal U/S report and normal semenalysis, this doctor says i have PCOS. She started me on Clomid, Metformin, and Duphaston, and without monitoring the follicle growth, she increased Clomid dose in the second cycle. I got frustrated and stopped taking all medications in the third cycle bcoz she wudnt tell me what makes her think that i have PCOS when there is not one single symptom or finding to say so. I missed my period totally in Nov, and my hopes soared..I went to another doc, but ultrasound and pregrancy test were negative and i was given progesterone tab to induce periods (got them in Dec)..This new doc said that she cant confirm the diagnosis of PCOS without having appropriate blood tests done. My prolactin level was found to be normal. I have no thyroid problems either. Now, in Jan my periods have delayed again by 5 days, and i dont know what i shd make of it. i am now apprehensive about going to any doc. Can one have PCOS without having any obviuos symptoms like weight gain, irregular periods, hirsutism, etc??
Please clarify my doubt..it wud be a great help.
