I AM VERY UPSET.I HAVE TO JOIN A JOB IN 1WEEK TIME. I DON' T KNOW HOW TO LEAVE MY 2.5 YEAR OLD AT DAY CARE..............

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I HAVE TO GO FOR JOB AFTER SHE IS BORN.I HAD STOPPED WRKING WHEN I WAS PREGNANT WITH HER................

I GOT THIS JOB UNEXPECTEDLY AND HAVE TO JOIN IN A WEEK....................

I HAVE NOBODY AT MY PLACE TO TAKE OF MY DAUGHTER..............SO I HAVE TO LEAVE HER AT A DAY CARE.............I HAVE TO START FROM MY HOUSE AT 8.00 A.M. PLEASE ADVICE ME AS TO WHAT HOULD BE HER MORNING SCHEDULE.................WHAT FOOD SHOULD I GIVE HER TO EAT AT HER DAY CARE CENTRE.............

SOME ONE PLEASE ADVICE ME AS TO WHAT TO DO...........

I HAVE A HUSBAND WHO WILL BE OF NO HELP TO ME WHEN I AM WORKING................HE NEVER CARES..................SO I HAVE TO MANAGE EVERYTHING MYSELF.

UMS jasmine replied. As you want to join the job, here is something you can try.

Get a maid first to take care of housechores. See if you can ask your daily maid to do some additional tasks. Idea is to have free time for you to invest in kid related activities in this week. If not much, at least if the maid can cut veg or cook daal rice it will help.

Set expectations with your hubby that this week u ll be busy in arranging for the kid so there might be times when he has to eat out or eat simple food.
Keep snacks aready and juices etc for u and baby as quick-eaters.

Haave you found a day care? Have you thought about having a 24 hr maid? If you have found a day care, then enrol the kid there. You will need to spend this week training the child to adjust there. Something like, you will have to be with him there for all time for first 2-3 days and then decrease the time gradually.
When u enrol the kid there dont tell him why. Start telling him little bit after 2-3 days as he starts liking the place.

Meanwhile keep looking for other options like better day care or maid whatever suits you.

Your main objective in this week should be to get the child adjusted in the day care.

Changing to a better day care or having a maid or adjusting all other things can be done after you join the job.

So join next week and then keep trying to optimize your arragements.

And dont worry even if ur kid cries a little bit. U need to worry only if it gets too much. Keep calling to day care to take regular status update.

dont worry, everything will be fine. Just be confident and be ready for some struggles for some future time.

wat type of job u are going to join i means which feild if its teaching job then u can see ur D in between if u have time ..u can look for day care near ur office if its not then also u can look a day care near ur office and go there in lunch. for starting days.
bye jasmine replied. If you havent stayed away from ur child yet (on a job), 1 week is too less a time to train her to stay away from mom all day. Even if you get a v good arrangement like daycare or maid, still the child needs more time to get adjusted. Say 2 weeks or so.

Request the office for another week or 3 weeks joining time. Whats so urgent for the company? And if you tell them your problem, no good company will refuse extension.
