Hetal,
Once again bothering you. My baby is now 9mths & 20 days old. Still no teething. Also she is not eating properly whatever we feed her. Especially during night I need to bf her almost 4/5 times, which really disturbs my sleep as well as her health & u know I' m a working female. Her routine feeding is 90 as per yr chart, but still u can give me few more receipies if possible. Her cradle habbit is also not going as my mil maker her sleep in that only during the day time.
Pls. revert with yr comments asap.
With best regards,
SMITA

Hetal replied. hi !
its okay for babies to delay teething process as late as 15months.unless your dr shows the concern, you shouldnt show it !!
make sure she eats by 830-9 at night and sleeps quite at content.
about recipes, here are some that my toddler enjoys,,can be given to 9months no problem !
1. by now i expect that you must have started her on multigrains or whole grains or atleast wheat like rotis etc..
add : wheat flour, oat flour or rice flour or whatever flours you have introduced, add some vegies to it, add watever spices you have introduced ( my daughter eats all,so i add all spices, like turmeric, cumin corainder pwder, salt,a bit of sugar just namesake,a very lil sprinkle of chili pdwr,a lil sprinkle of black rock salt, some coriander leavseS(choppped finely), vegies()finely chopped or sonetimes leave it big chuncks but they should be fully cooked, some finely chopped onions n tomatoes, a lil sprinkle of garlic, some soya kheema(minced or ttly pwdered), and finally some finely chopped curry leaves,,,,mix all together, add some buttermilk(fresh one or some curd with water) and make it to the consistency of dosa or pancake...
put tawa and add the batter, let it rest n cook, once cooked, remove it. a good nonstick might not require oil !! add cheese to it,or some sauce, or some chutney or jam or ne vegetable puree or some fruit puree and serve.
2. at 9months onwards, tofu must have been introduced, you can try choppng the soft tofu with some vegetables or pastas and serve it.its great finger food...altntly, you can try multicolourr idlis..while making the batch of idlis, just add a couple drops of beetroot juice or spinach or tomatoes or carrots to it for diff colours,,makes great food ! add some other spices,if your baby likes spices,,,other recipes you can get in the post of finger foods in feeding board,,,its dated 2006-12-08, by poster name suja with subject ideas for finger foods for 10month old. you can also look around the same dates for some list of links posted by some members about diff recipe websites,,it has good ones !
once her night feeds/meals are good, you can start weaning her,,,go slow though,,as you are bf...
about cradle habit, you can get really nice tips from sleeping board,,some members have contributed really nice tips..should work !
stop making her sleep in that, or make sure her activity level is good enough that not much efforts are required to make her sleep ! esp the physical activities,if she has just learned cruising around or so, you can try making her walk or stand or do some really good kicking work in her jim or some other good physical activity that will not only help her sleep better but also eat better,,,
this will also give her good exercise and apetite...
if you are making her sleep in cradle, make sure dont rock it..try the best to avoid rockng and makin her sleep in cradle,,or rock when she is really trying to sleep, just once or so and then leave/stop it,,,and see if that works out...try to make her sleep on her own,,its hard at this age, but with good activity level and sleeping side by side with her and giving her some toy to hug and closing eyes or some story time with a book,,has worked out for many of us. try to settle her with books and dolls and see if it works out. and avoid making her sleep time to time in order to just make her sleep,,because of most of the moms make their kids sleep in the cradle only to make them sleep in order to follow the routine !! avoid doing that,,let your child show his own routine and thn encourage some good habits outof it or adjust or include some goodness in it,,this will not only reduce your stress but it will allow your child to decide what he wants to do,,and you too will not need ne thing that needs extra efforts or rocking or cradle etc to make her sleep...
thats all i can help you with !
good luck

RE: Eczema concern
Hello,
I had a similar query a few months ago concerning eczema occuring in toddlers. As far as I know, it can be due to a varrying number of factors and common foods that end up causing the condition in 1-2 year old toddlers.
In my research I found this article really helpful in addressing the problem:
