Hope the babies are doing great!

yesterday i went for my routine check up and doc tried to listen to the heart beat of the baby ( thro Doppler) and finally she could, she said it's difficult to listen at this stage ( iam in 11th week) but luckily we could it was very exciting ..... u know it was going so fast..... I also had got all urine and blood tests done and Doc said i had urine infection and need to take mild antibiotic for a week .... i don't know why it happens ???? all she said was it's common ( specially for people who work and use commn toilets :( !!!) but i am a little worried to take antibiotics ... Can anyone tell me if there are some harmful effects of it?
vidya replied. Thats nice that u heard the babys heart beat,even iam in 12th week and iam goin tomorrow to hospital for my 2nd checkup ,i hope even i too will hear the heartbeat as iam excited for that.
By the way about the urinary infections,a yr back even i had severe infection and went to emergency.And now when i went for my first checkup i told her about my infection and she told not to worry as most of the women will have that problem. but luckily now i dont have that bec ,i try to take lots of fluid. why dont u try to take craneberry juice as this is the best juice for kidney and even u can have lots of water melon as they both flush the system.me being the infection patient telling u not to worry about that as far as u have lots of fluid and the mentioned juice above ok.now cheerup dont get scared.

kalpana replied. g8 to know that all tests have turned out to be ok. dont worry about the urine infection...i m sure u will b alright soon. my gyn is out of town and so will b cing her on 30th of may. so planned to take all the tests little before 30th. i m waiting to c the sonography ...where i think i can c the baby well and know if its girl or boy. will let u know after my visit to the gyn.

How r u? Hope ur Baby is fine.U also got your baby's heartbeat.It's very exciting right.
Regarding me, we r going to India Next month.Next week I will go to the doctor and will ask her about my baby details.
But somewhat scared about reading all the AIR TRAVEL topics.Any how I will contact my Gyn before leaving Singapore.

Regarding antibiotics; you shouldn't be worried to take them b/c 1) your doc knows about your pregnancy and 2) it's worse to let an infection be left alone during pregnancy, than it is to take antibiotics.
