My daughter girl is now 6 months old.She takes rice cerel and fruits. Should I give her rice dal and butter also? Will it be too early to start rice dal etc? She got her teeth very early ,only at 4and half months old. Please give me some advice.
Piyali Suruchi replied. It's ok for you to feed your daughter dal, rice etc. but I was told to not give butter or ghee as that's bad for the liver. Also I started giving my daughter egg yolk when she was 8 mos old. Before that it's too soon. sha replied. Hi Piyali & Priya,
just now saw ur postings . I saw in 'baby's diet'of this site and checked before giving egg yolk. my tiny tot has to see the paed tomorrow for shots(6 months shots). she is quite o.k with the egg yolk. her digestion is good and she seems to like it. I am breast feeding her so exactly don't know the amt she is taking. she shows little interest in drinking milk. same condition, drinks well while she is asleep. i mix the cereal with formula & sometimes with my milk. i have seen in many sites and only then started it. anyway i will check it with paed.
coming to her activities, she started moving around the house not by crawling , but by rolling over tummy and back i.e. on both sides. believe me, it's a quite cute thing to see. she sits with support, not started sitting on her own.

Its nice to get your reply so soon.But my doctor told me not to give her egg or chicken untill 9 months. So check with your peditrition.And how much ounce of milk your daughter taking? My daughter suddenly decrease the quantity. When her stomach is little full she starts playing.Only when she is sleepy she takes full quantity.

I am so happy to see ur query. same position here. I give my 6 month old daughter 2 times cereal (rice in the morning, oatmeal in the night) , evenings gerber fruit or vegetable. I started egg yellow just from yesterday. she seems to like it. in between i give her my milk. i want to contitnue like this one more month slowly give her our taste. she seems so much interest on our food.share ur views.
