Due Date Club December 2005:Thanks Archie and all

Hi Archie and all,
I just wanted to share with you'll that after following the strict diet for 2 days my leg swelling has reduced nearly to 60%. But before I go to sleep the swelling is back, and in day time the swelling is very less.
I have fully cut the salt and also have increased the walk. Hoping that I am not overdoing the walk execrise.. overall in a day I walk for 90mins.
Also I feel that my little one is already head down. Becasue I am feeling more pressure on my pelvic and also feel that pain(which Shazia has mentioned). Two days back it was very painful in night. Even changing the position from right to left and walking did not reduce it. It was a continues pain. Only after I slept on my back for sometime the pain subsided. And sometime I get the pain in my lower back which disappears after I change the position. Also during walk the stomach tightens as if the baby is yawning and scrtching.
From yesterday I am feeling the baby movement very less. It is not continues as it was earlier. I am trying to time and count the movement. I am having a appointment with my Gync next week and she will be doing the USG. And depending on the reports and my condition I am going to decside whether to travel or not to travel on 5th Novemeber.

Hi ammy,
relax! Its good to hear the swelling is subsidises after changing the diet. Think positive we came this far we'll go through another few weeks happily. Try to enjoy. About the kick count sometimes they'll be lazy like us right? But I can understand your feeling u know when I wake up in the night to go loo and when I came back to sleep he won't move may be he's sleeping at that time but then I couldn't sleep and I put my hand on my stomach and rub gently some how he figures out mom wants reply and he kicks me then I'll sleep peacefully.
Even its a small kick its ok for me.
And my doc told me within 2hours if the kick count is less than 10 then only u have to worry and go to the hospital. So relax and enjoy the remaining weeks.
good luck

Hi Nandini,
Thanks for your reply. Ya this is my first child so bit nervous. I just want everything to be fine till 5th Nov as that is the day I will be travelling. Ofcourse I will be visiting my Gync here before I travel to check with the condition.
Still Gync at native place is not fixed. I had told my mother to look out for a good one.. no idea what she is doing. I am not getting that much pain but yes if sometime it pains then it stops all the work in hand.
Well we have to go through all these otherwise how will we hold our little one in our hand. But I am sure once the baby is out.... I am going to miss the jumpping tumming and the movement.

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
