Hi Archi and all,

I had a query regarding Listeria bacterial infection. what are the chances of listeria affecting pregnant woment in their third trimester. As i have read about the harmful effects of listeria during the last trimester.

I was a bit concerned as i had a sandwich with raw veges and some soft cheese unknowingly. Later i go to know abt the soft cheese and raw veges were kept open. am in my 31st week.

Archi would u suggest me get a blood test done for this infection.

Is there a need to be really concerned?

Pl. guide me!

Hi MOM,

I really think you shouldnt worry so much. Why worry about something which may not even affect you? For all you know, life will be the same and you wont feel a think. The more you think about it the more you tend to get tense and invite other problems. I would suggest you just stay calm.

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine.
