my daughter is 22 months old now. she has got chronic constipation from past one year. have consulted many physician and pediatrics. no particulat cause for this. but am giving laxative daily dose from past 1 year. if i stop medicine in between problem gets too severe.
want to try some home remedy.
pls suggest something

anu Hetal replied. 1. include spinach in all her diet curries etc,,just make a habit in throwing some puree or a bunch of leaves in her food gravies etc,,, good iron and greens are great natural fibrs !
2. at 22months, offer prune juice(mixed with banana juice if your baby doesnt like the taste),,and offer 3oz every day during afternoons ! great for constipation.
3. offer around 8oz of water, apart from milk n juice in the whole day(not to include the liquids or water during lunch/meals).
4. offer warm water daily as soon as she wakes up first thing first in morning, make sure that water has a pinch of black rock salt in it), offer around half glass or to say, around 4oz.
5. before going to bed, avoid offerng milk with ne additives and offer plain boiled milk with sugar n cardamom,,make sure she drinks it wwarm or lukewarm next to warm,,,
6.rasins soaked overnight and offerng its water in the morning has also helped many children,,,alterntly, offering papaya, prunes, peaches,pears or plums are great fibr sources.
7. include boiled moong water or whole moong curry in her meals,,excellent source of fibr and lots of nutrients..put some oil, crackle some jeera seeds n some mustard seeds in it, a pinch of garlic pwder, some asafoetida/hing in it and add some curry leaves,,and put that oil tadka in her moong curry(mix boiled moong, add water to desired consistency,) and offer this with rice or roti,,,great to go !

If u really want to try home remedies then u can give ur daughter some raisins or papaya in morning times.u can also give some banana with milk...i really dont know how much u have tryed all this remedies..as they worked for my son..
and pl be regular in using these remedies, as in ur case can take a lot of time...
