Due Date Club November 2003:What to expect in the 34th week

Name: Simmi

Hi girls. Thought would share this interesting info, in case u have missed it. Enjoy...

Making the drop. If your baby is a boy, his testicles are now descending from his abdomen into his scrotum. Occasionally, one or both testicles fail to move into position before birth. In this case, your baby's testicles will probably drop before his first birthday. If your infant's scrotum seems large right after birth, don't worry: the swelling is due to extra fluid and will go away in a week or so.

No vacancy. Your baby is moving around less frequently, mostly because of the cramped quarters. Of course, it may not seem as if he's settled down-now that he's so big (about 2 KG -about 4.5 pounds- and about 46 cm – 18.4 inches- long), you can feel even the slightest movement. In fact, since your baby is right up against the wall of the uterus, you're probably getting good at guessing which body part (foot? elbow? arm?) is protruding.

Baby blues. \";Guess what colour my eyes are now?\"; Regardless of the eye colour your baby will end up with, right now his eyes are blue. The pigmentation process in his iris won't be complete until his eyes have been exposed to light for several weeks after birth. His final eye colour may not be evident for years.

Sole Provider

This baby's unique footprint has already developed, with the toes (1) and heel (2) in place. Those tiny toes are likely to be wiggling.

HEy Sweet Simmi, great info and hope my little boy is growing like he is supposed to be at this stage and everything going great for him.... :)

I found out that my hospital doesn't do the foot print thing and was kinda dissapointed (the little feet do look cute) but I guess we can do it ourselves when he comes home...

Hey Simmi, glad to hear that you are resting up at home and drinking lots of hot chocalate kinda thingys... Flu season is right around the corner, and you must be feeling some of the effects of it... with the change in temperature and all... So rest up, mum and let your hubby take care of you..

I am in the same boat with the name... it must be harder on you guys since you have to choose not one but two names... My frustration is that I cant get everyone (my family, inlaws, etc etc) to get to appreciate one name enough... and so hubby and I decided to name him whatever we want and let them know after we do it.. cause it is impossible to please everyone..

I am sure u and hubby will come up with some names soon.. the love so many girl's names but when it comes to boys, the choice, in my opinion, is quite limited... but yeah, a month to go...we gots to do it now... :)

You rest up and Get well soon...

Love
-Avi

Hey Avi. I'm sure ur little boy is growing fine and all's well in there. So nearing the time and feeling false labour signs...someone asked me at work yesterday how long to go...i said NEXT mth, I can say that now! And soon after saying that I kept thinking about how little a time is left. Apart from the shopping scene, the concern in my mind is the fact we havent' short listed many names....I don't want to not know what we'll be calling the baby! So let's see if we decide something this mth itself!
Haven't been feeling good, I guess my lovely London weather has got the better of me, i.e. cooler now and I have cold and temprature so taken a sickie today (after much persuation from my husband). Anyways, will call the boss later today but thought would say hi to u guys first.
Love, Simmi

Diaper Service Provider,Bangalore
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.

Thanks in advance
