my daughter is 1 year 10 months. i used to send her to the nursery. but she kept falling sick often. lately she fell very sick with very high fever and had to admit her in the hospital for 3 days. she had bacterial infection. Also we were told that her Adenoids are very large which is the cause of her frequent illness. And becoz of this her breathing passage is very narrow which is causing to snore when she's asleep. so we are advised to remove her adeniods. but we are worried if it is ok. have any of ur kids gone thru this. pls advise. i dont know much about this. will it have any side affects or will it do her good. plse advise. thanks so much for reading. sonia replied. Hello. My son has that problem and many in my familly since we are very allergic. I know many that have done that surgery and in my opinion it's a good surgery. If kids don't do it there's a higher chance they will be sick all the time, have problems speaking, breathing and attention problems and sleeping problems. Some people complain that after the surgery they are sick all the time as well but if they don't do it they woul be even more times sick and have the other problems associated. My son is going to do the surgery - the doctor is waiting for him to grow a little bit. He has problems sleeping, speaking and he his sick all the time. I have asma myself and i hunderstand what he goes throw. I know he won't be 100% ok but he will be better without the adenoids always infecting. Of course that a surgery is always a risc so you must consider if his well being his in question and you mus choose cerefully the doctor and the hospital. anagha replied. I read you message today. But we r still confused and not yet done her operation for adenoids.
