Hi,

Iam having 1 year old son. Till now my inlaws are looking after him when I come to work, but now its time for them to go back to their native, so i have to put him in daycare, no other source. But Iam scared to put him. Is it the right age to put him in daycare. Please I need suggestions from the experienced moms about this.

Don' t be so much worried.I am working mother .My kid started going to day care when he was 8 month old.He is now 4 and 1/2 year old kid.
There are some pros and cons to every situation.You should be aware of cons and ready to accept it.
First point to choose a day care.It should be near to your office.
Check the day care for the cleanliness
Many day care centers have aayas .Check what is the ratio of children per aaya.
They feed the baby at timimg you have asked them to or the regular timimg the day care follows.
Dont undermine your little one .They get adjusted very well after 10-20 days.
They get company of same age to play with.Learn some more things and more over these kids become very social

I am also facing the same situation . my kid is also 1 yr old .My mother was here to take care of him . now she is leaving to her place as she is also working .
I was also in dilemma whether to send my son to cretch or not . I think u can explore the options like \" working from home\" or long unpaid leave . you can check with your employer and lastly putting in a cretche ,or If your mind is ready and if you find somebody trustworthy who you can do baby sitting for you u can try that option. then you can shift near to your office and you can go home during working hours .
I am solving this problem by quitting the job . I think that my son needs me now . I feel atleast he should learn to communicate and then I can send him to day care .then he will be able to tell me if there is any problem with day care . o/w I don' t trust day care centres .
