Hi Girls,
Dill is a kind of herb that grows in plenty in cooler climates. The plant has long, needle-like leaves which are actually pretty soft to touch. It will resemble a miniature pine tree, only with drooping needles! Yes, they are called \";shepu\"; in Maharashtra and are more common in Maharashtrian and Hyderabadi cooking. Dill leaves are supposed to have a lot of digestive properties and are good for relieving gas, bloating and discomfort that follows pregnancy. Word of advice though, the herb has a strong, pungent flavor, so make sure it agrees with your breastfeeding infant while u take it. some babies do not like pungent taste. Ok, hope this helps.. bye!
Luv, Siya

Dear Shazia,
Actually, even I have asked the same question to Rids, who has suggested the use of dill leaves in idli. I will let you know, once she replies.
Take Care!

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
