Hi

I have a 2 year old son and have just gotten back to work after a break of two years. I have found a great job which pays well and has a creche in the premises as well. I also have a girl at home for taking care of him as I did' nt know abt the creche till I joined. For the last one month, I have been bringing my son and the nanny to the creche so that he can get used to it. Now they have refused to allow the girl to accompany my son anymore and he cries like his heart will break every morning when I drop him off. I am told that he cries on and off throughout the day as well. He also cries when i go to see him during breaks. I dont know what to do. I dont want to leave him at home all alone when there is such a good facility so close. How long do children take to get used to a place? What should I do to make the transition easier for my son? When i see him crying, I also get very upset and feel like just quitting and staying home. But I Know that this is a great job and I love it. Hey dont worry.I have experienced the same problem.But believe me the more you go to visit him, the more he will cry.Dont think that ur son will not understand.Talk to him,tell him that its a place to play and have fun.Engage him in an interesting toy when ur leaving him in the morning.U can be in that place and let someother person play with him so that he gets confident about that place.
