My daughter is 10 months old, few days back she has fever. When we consulted the doctor, she precribed us to do a urine test. The test showed slight infection (leucocyte 25 mg), then she asked us to do urine culture before prescribibg medicine. Now the result has also come and it also shows infection and they have prescribed Amoxillin. But i have i doubt as when we had taken the urine for culture she was taking antibiotics for throat infection, does this has effect on the urine culture. Please advise. Hope your doctor is aware of the throat infection. so the doc must be aware of the antibiotics being administered also. There are a lot of things that worry parents. The right approach is to sit with your doc and have her explain everything to you. Remember you are paying her so you have a right to know.
