Due Date Club December 2005:Feeling the baby's body parts
2005-10-10
Name: Raji

Hi all,

I have been reading everywhere that by now I should be able to tell which body part of the baby it is that i feel - be it legs, knees etc. Somehow I am unable to decipher. I just know the baby is moving thats all. Can any of you figure out the baby parts that have just moved and can you describe how you figured out which part moved?

Thanks,
Raji

Hi ,
I'm also unable to find out the parts some times I feel hard part on my right side and I think it might be head but I'm not sure. If I rub there slowly he takes his part slowly and kicks me like I'm disturbing him or may be he's recognizing my hand I don't know. But one thing is sure whenever I put my hand he moves. Sometimes I'm asking himself which part is that? My husband laughs at me. But we'r anxious right?
take care

Dear Raji,
Even I have read on the net, that, by now, we should be able to identify the parts of the baby by touching our abdomen. But, even I haven't been successful in doing that. I feel, it depends on person to person. So, I too fall into your category.
So, don't worry, you are not alone!

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
