My one year old refuses to take plain yogurt. I have been giving her Dannon LaCreme and she likes it. Does anyone know of other yogurt brand names that are made of \";whole milk\"; and not fat free. I live in U.S.

Anju - I got some sample yogurt from one of my friends. I completely boil the milk until it starts rising up. Then I let it cool. Again I just warm it up lightly. Add the sample and mix it. In summer if you keep in the microwave it will ferment easily. But in winter, I set 170 degrees for 4 mins, then stop the oven and keep the milk inside. It has not failed me so far. It is always done in 4-6 hours. I live in Columbus.

Rajini - I have tried Dannon LaCreme and my kid likes it. Also Anju's suggestion's seems really nice. As always if your kid likes homemade yogurt, nothing can beat that freshness and price.

Try the stonyfield organic yoghurt. i have been giving it to my son from his 9th month. he's 15 months now. in any case check with your dr. i also give breakstones cottage cheese mixed with mashed banana or some other fruit puree. try getting tarla dalal's cookbook for toddler. it has lot of ideas.

i have been giving stonyfield organic whole milk youghurt to my son for the last 5-6 months. You can find it in the yoghurt section or organic section of your local grocery store.
