Due Date Club December 2005:Pelvic Pressure Anyone?
2005-10-05
Name: Siya

hi,
i am wondering if anyone has a solution to this problem. i am having severe pelvic pressure, it happens whether i am sitting down or lying down. at night i am unable to sleep because of the pressure. i have to keep changing position and everytime i have to stand up to change my side. i have tried pillows and also a small pillow between my knees but nothing seems to be relieving this. does this mean that the baby is really low in the pelvis? i can feel what i think is the baby's head sometimes, really low in my belly, just above the pelvic area. please advice. my doctors seems to think this is just the way i am shaped. i am worried about premature labor, my duedate is dec 20 now.
any pointers will be appreciated.... bye!
luv, siya

I too feel it at times. i checked with the doc he says that it nothing serious its just normal.
sometimes i feel as if the baby is just gonna pop out.

i feel the head dropping at times so low.It gives a weird pain too. at times u cant get out of the bed or stand up.
i guess its normal. i dint have this for my first pregnancy.

Hi,

Even I used to feel that my baby is very low. When I mentioned to the doc that I can feel the movements really low, she says your uterus stretches from there to your belly button. She thinks Im worrying unnecessarily!! Even I can at times feel my baby's head almost at the vagina but Ive just stopped worrying. Was your first one preterm? If not, then you may not have much to worry I guess.

love,
Raji

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
