hi

i live in hyd. my 16 month old daughter has been diagnoised has having mild eczema. on her joints at hands &behind knees. i keep reading abt Isonomil and other precuationary methods concerning food.
i havent been particular abt diary products. since she's underweight i give her cheese, curdand butter. its only the past week she's started having 2 oz of whole milk. her doc hasnt told us anything inparticular. egg aggravated her itching so i've stopped it. she ate fish without a prob. i'm really confused abt this. should i continue her routine foodie habits. or do i nneed to o to dermatologist.
moreover i havent seen soya milk here, has anyone come across it here in hyd?
the prob is dual eczema vs under weight child. i'm really concerned b coz she's really fussy abt food. i doubt she'll like any change in her food. as it is she has started milk after 8 months. i'm worried abt her health.
any advice or information is widely appreciated.
thanks

Hi

The first thing i would like to say is \" don' t worry\" ,easy word to say. Actually my daughter is suffering from eczema anf lots of food allergiesfor the past 1 tr,she is now 18 months, and still we are on the fight. But she can' t have milk ,egg, soy, dhals, peanuts.it was difficult at first trying to think what to give her. NOw she drinks goat milk, has chiken almost everyday as a source of protein. You can try chicken for your kid, for eczema apply non perfumed soap, and mosturisers. Keep him moist all the time, like those areas where there is eczema. give him bath every alternate day,i mean to say use less soap, and long time in water also sometimes irritates their skin.this is what our dematologist said.i have read in one forum thst applying honey anf cinnamon powder in equal parts to the affected areas is helping. Once again don' t worry and stress out yourself and warm regards.

hi,
i would like to know when did this eczema started?my daughter started to have eczema when she was 1 month old and as she grew old it has totally gone.she is now 3yrs old.regarding food i gave cow milk and egg after she is 1 yrold.i would suggest u to see for which food she is allergic to,stop using milk for 2 days and see if she is still having eczema and then stop egg and see.if she is not allergic to any of these then its good.i think she will outgrow the problem as she gets older.one more thing see that her skin does not gets dry ,use mosturiser, perfume and dye free soaps.good luck
