my daughter is 15 months old. For the past 4 months, I have noticed the skin color on the body is darker compared to the skin color on the face. my daughter had eczema when she was 4 months old. Is this normal. is there a way to improve the body skin color.

-- thank you rani replied. I have similar problem with my 14 month old and don't seem to have any solution for this problem. My daughter had excema since she was 3 months old and it seemed to have gotten better,almost 95% cured but her face is the brightest and then her tummy is little less fair and her thighs,legs are really dark. I do feel she still has some rashes on the feet and her face is the softest so maybe the excema is still their in the darker parts. I am still looking for answers. Maybe a dermatologist may have answers. Anybody had been to a derm. I feel massaging with coconut oil is lightening the skin up, other oils make her face also dark. LEt me know, if you have any other suggestions...

Hi my daughter is also 7 months,she had eczema when she was 2 months,the dr prescribed cortisone.Now her face is fair,but her legs are dark,my dr says its bcos of cortisone,it discolourise the skin,she says it will get alright after some years,i am also worried.If u guys get information about this problem pl share.

I am mother of 7 month old he has fair skin on face comparedd to his body and he also had eczema when he was little. But in my opinion it does not have to do with eczema because I myself have more fair skin on my face as compared to my body and no one notices it except my mom. I don't think you should worry about this but this is my opinion you should check with other people too.
