rashmi niki replied. Priya, Today is janmasthami & i am happy to hear about ur friend's delivery. I was planning to prepare some laddoo mithati etc in evening for my Lord Krishna but now, will just make it simple as some news has made us very upset. One of mydh's friend's wife was expecting 2 weeks ahead of me. She just had a puja & babyshower last saturday.....This saturday she went for regular check up & there was no heartbeat of baby. It has come as a big shock to us. My mom says it should have happened same day else even the mom dies if the still birth is in for long time. Iam feeling so bad for her as weve shared long talks & dreams about what we'll do for the baby & what well buy etc. She had not bought a few things which she was gonna complete after the dr's check up. Infact she was feeling the baby moves even in the morning when she left.....i dont even have the courage to talk to her but will try to call her in the evening today as she will discharge. She was induced & had to deliver normally which must have been so much...... anyways, God has all the power to rule us but we should also be very careful. Please dont at all take any tension of fixing up ur new 2 bedroom appt. Even if u r excited about putting things, stop urself & go to bed. It is very good that u r leaving ur job now. Even my mom said that in last 2 months u should take maximum rest. Ive got my driving licence but i am also scard of driving. Not much busy but friday i decided to finish with my driving tests so was occupied reading the manual & then sunday i finished the road test.
Since i had a big tummy, i didnt have to wait anywhere in long lines. Had fun & have licence now so planning to enjoy a bit more.
How was ur moving. Ya no matter how hard we try we collect so manythings & it hard to throw them away too. Still just dont exert. Let ur dh do it all.
U have to take lot of stress except the moving. Take it easy even while fixing up everything. So what happened about ur mom's arrival?

She applied for 3months this time. So may be because of that. They did not ask ANY questions. Her passport has not come yet. But it is really really relaxing news.

Yes, my doctor saw me today and told that she might have to induce labor early becuase my Tummy is big. She will let me know after the Ultrasound next week. So for me also might be just 15days.
yes I am not going to do anywork.
Since my mom will be here very soon. She is looking for ticket now. Let us hope she gets the ticket earliest.

We are maoving in to 2 bed apartment in the same complex. If my mother was going to come we would have adjusted in 1 bed room. But now I will be calling my friends to help me out. So we thought it will be good if we have two bed rooms.
The apartment is very close and we shall move next weekend.
I know at this stage it will be difficult but all the friends wil help us moving. Let us see how it goes.

Anyways, is ur baby moving a lot now a days? Or sleeps most of the times?

My baby is big and it hurts when it moves. I can feel even fingers now. :-)

NST went thr fine. And also other things are OK according to the doctor. I have every week appoinemnt now.
Doctor told me that I can travel after 6 weeks but I need to ask the pediatrics abt baby's travel. We have selected one pediatrics now. We will ask her.
Yeah it will be kind of difficult to adjust the weather and all when the baby is small. U are correct. Even I don't want to do that. Even I don't want to leave my DH here and go. My mother could not come and she is feeling bad about it. Also even my inlaws want me to go to india. Hence we are little bit confused. Frankly speaking my DH will be alone and will miss the baby and me .. So let us see what we can do. If my inlaws can come here after the delivery that will be nice.

Doctor told me that she will not let 40weeks exceed. I might deliver around 39th week. She checked with the hand and her observation is baby's head is down now.
There will be a U/s at 36th week.
Whcih week are U in now? did u have sonography?

I am preparing myself but it is going difficult because I was very much dependent on my mom coming here. My mom is going to go for visa again but right now she has some fever. So she will go in 2 weeks time. Also we had produced all the papaers we could.. so we are really not sure if this time anything will make differnce, but we shall try.

we bought the Travel Kit from Graco .
I bought of green color. I know it is going to get dirty but i liked it very much. It has 2 wheels so I felt it was safe.
I have started preparing for the baby because me and my DH will be alone to take care of me and the baby. Did u buy a towel for the baby? We need the materniety pads also. Did you get thoes?

I am going to prepare some dishes for myself so that I can eat as snak after the delivery. We plan to request home cooked food from a Gujurathi aunty, for few days after the delivery.
One of my friend is going to come from east coast at the time of delivery.
I plan to go to india when my doctor allowes to travel.
We will have to wait till baby's passport comes !

I will have to buy all thoes things that my mom was going to bring.
Today we met diabetes Sepcialist and he was happy with my reports last week. He has increased the R insulin in the morning but he says now I have consistent results.

I have the non-stress test and general check up with my doctor on Wed. Let us see .. I have gained 1 pound since last week. Felt nice.
Everyone is asking me when the baby is due because my stomach has started lokking really big !!
Anyways.. I herad two baby girls were born last weekend. ( our office employees !)

But they say u shudnt be upset or tensed else the baby gets lesser oxygen & feels uncomfortable too. So avoid it as far as possible. Take care. I am much relaxed as now my mom does all kitchen work & i just help a little. I am getting so curious about vidhya. I dont know why shes not announcing the big news. Wish u the very best for ur mom's visa. Actually my dh's company name also changed & they asked my mom if he had changed the job. Later they got the paper mentioning the change of company name. But how does it matter to them anyway if uve changed the co etc,,,, They can see a legal status rightnow on ur passport so why do they bother!!!! One of other friend's relatives r also not geting visas as they have not yet received their gc. it is so bad.... they r here for more than 5 years & now they have work authorisatation etc still they dont get the visas......Anyways, good luck to u... Thanks to ur mom. But my mother was very confident she did not mention about my pregnancy. I was getting tensed about visa but back in india eveyone was really casual. because it was not that difficult. May be I was getting this feeling before hand some how..
She is going to try again. The lady who was suppose to give the visa was really rude. She was asking why I changed jobs here.. why I went to stamp visa in canada etc.
My mother has property in india. We showed thoes papers. Now we shall show some more bank statments and property on her name..
I cannot call anyone at this point. My MIL can not come because her passport has not come yet. It will take time for her passport to come.
Yeah I have few friends here and their moms are here. So I willtake help from them.
But mom is mom. Lucky u. I kept crying hte whole night yesterday. But now I am much relaxed and positive. Something from my bottom of the heart says that my mom will be here soon. I am praying god and just trying to prepare myself for the worst.
Please let your mom relaxed!! She will take time to come back to routine here.

Yesteday I went to the Diabetes specialist. And so was late for work. Then had some work so did not post the msg.
I did my shopping on Sunday. We bought a Stroller and Car seat ( travel Kit) of Cosco. we bought the bath Tub, a small crib and diaper disposal. Also bouth some small pillos and Matress for the baby.
My mother went to visa yesterday. There was some problem in Draft so they are going to consulate tomorrow. She also received the bank ORiginal letter ( I told U before) which we sent through a friend.
Doctor has asked me to stay home now after a week as my sugars are not controlled even if I am taking insulin.

We are also looking to move into 2 bed apartment soon.( after baby is born) So looking for good deals now.

Getting curious about vidhya now !!
We have an appointmet for lamaze classes oN aug 3rd and 4th. But it wil be whole day and my DH is saying there is really no need of thoes classes as everyone is advising us. It costs $100 here.
Also if my mom is here,, that will be her first weekend and we can not leave her alone at home. DO u think are thoes classes really helpful?

Today is my due date (07/20) and my stubborn little one seems to enjoy the comfort of my womb than the outside world. i'm 3cm dialated and 90% effaced and just waiting for the damn contractions. have been walking like 2-3 miles a day and climbing stairs about 10 times everyday still nothing. send me some LABOR VIBES....i'm so ready to have this baby.

Priya, to me crib is necessary. you can go for a bassinet to save some space in your bedroom. crib really occupies more room and the one that i bought is convertible to toddler bed. Yeah even I enjoy window shopping. Also I enjoy watching small kids in Mall :-)

I went to see my doctor.She told me that everything is normal till now. But yes there will be a possiblity of delivering early. I didnt have u/s. I already did it in my 28th week.
From 36th week they will start monitoring baby and also there will be a U/S. Also there will be non-stress test next time when I go. ( aug 1st)

My inslun requirement is just increasing. By the way Nikki, what is ur age? I feel beacuae i am 28 I am having this diabetes problem as serious.

Actually india services takes the photo graphs when tthey deliver and also send thoes photos to you. I had found this service very nice. So if there is anyone special u can try. But it is expensive.

OH!! So my delivery also might be in the first week of Sept. ??
I have been taking 14Units of R and 14 Units of N in the morning and 14 Units at the bed time now. So I think I am more dependent on Insulin than U !!

I also have the bladder infection still there. So I am taking antibiotics again from last Friday.

I feel tired and also sometimes sick. I have a bad headache even if My sugars are not low. I think all becasue of lot of stress. I must start sitting at home.
We had sent lots of moeny to india to buid a house there. So we dont have much savings. So at this point I should work as long as possible.
let us see.. but I think after my mother comes ( if at all she could ) I will sit at home.

Because of this economy prob my salary is already redcued 10% .. so a bit worried also.
But after my mom comes I will hardly feel like coming to work !!
