Due Date Club September 2001:Baby vs Ambition

Hi Friends, these thoughts are going thru my head. So wanted some advice. Ever since I figured I was expecting Sep 4th, I was really excited about the oncoming `project and this new phase in our lives. Im a bit worried about my lack of ambition and interest in my work now..wondering if it is natural. All Im thinking of is about my next scan and whether my tummy is growing ...and stuff that is completely not `work related. Just finding it a bit hard to come to terms with this transformation. Ive been working furiously for the past 7 years...so a drastic change in `me is shocking and worrying. Help!!

Hi there
I am also a working girl and since when I am pregnant I am really very less concentrating on my office work. Infact I have been forgetting to call my friend which i usually talk to .. lots of changes are occured in my life. I have become self centred and always keep thinking of myself as U do. On top of it i do not feel shy .. to eat, Sleep when every I want when friends/ relatives are around.
I am only thinking of my baby all the time. I asked my mother and she says this is natural.

yeah it is true that U might have hard time and also U might not work as good as U used to work when U didnt have kid.
Every one has a priories in life. Most girls wants to become mother and it is their dream they are ready to sacrifies many things for that. Carrer is one of the things. But then U get a big joy and lots of fun with the kid. If u feel it is a burden then all the effort U put and what u dream to have kid are gone. So just do not worry about anything.. Remember there are lot of successful ladies who also have kids and still are successful in carrer.
It is difficult .. U may have to put lot of efforts.
Somethings U might loose.. but alwyas remember U r getting a gift from God.. which is just urs.

I am sure U must be excited when U first saw ur preg test positive. So keep urself very happy & enjoy this stage of life to its fullest. WORK WHILE U WORK & PLAY WHILE U PLAY. As u proceed & start feeling the baby U ll feel happier/ And After u see the kids face U may find it hard to go back to work. My cousin is a dentist in NYC & she said to me at 15 days of her babys birth U may start to feel that all the pain & give up is worth it. BTW my date is september 5th so nice to know U.

Thank you all.
Its very reassuring. Am feeling less guilty now. I thought of another thing to do. I spend some time planning what I can possibly do to earn some `pocket money after baby has arrived...just to feel a bit independent. Also Im now putting away some money from my salary every month...so I dont feel bad to ask..when I stop working. Its this little insecurity which I think most of us working moms2be must be feeling, right?
After all we have a whole lifetime to get back to working an dprofessional achievement..so I feel.

Stem cell banking on with life cell
yes Life cell is the best, when ourbabygirl was due in Feb 2011 we shortlisted Lifecell after meeting Cyrobanks, Relicord, Babycord etc. Cyrobanks are thugs they promise you the moon and also there is no indian hand in this company so we can' t rely on them at all. Relicord is good but the offers have so much marketing gimmicks. Other players lacks either the technical inf... - CK [View Message]

Good Gynae in Dwarka
Hi

I am new to dwarka and want to know if there is any good doctor having her clinic here (I expect them to be visiting some good hospotal).

I know some good doctors in gurgaon like Dr Chetna Jain (Columbia Asia), Dr Manvita (Max).

but can anybody suggest someone in dwarka as gurgaon would be far for emergency situations.
