hi girls,
i am a regular visitor of this site. i am due in september. really nice to read all ur discussions. i got lots of information. my friends keep asking me if i feel any movements of the baby, but still i am not. i am scared. i even asked the doctor about it. she said there is nothing much to worry. i have to go for the fifth month scanning in another 15 days.

Hi Nikki,
My glucose test showed the glucose count to be 170. And hence doctor has told me to do 3 hr test now. Yes I am keeping myself out off tention. But need to work on it more..
How much was ur count intially? My iron also gone down to 10.9 so DR, told me to start iron suppliments.
How are you doing with U rsugar count. What precautions are U taking?
Please let me know.
My mom in india is little bit worried as no one had this problem in our family in preganancy before. I have told her not to worry !!
Anyways, the article is very helpful. I shall be doing the three hr test on Wed. Tuesday I have appoinment with my doctor. The reason why i was feeling thursty was diabetis.
You also told me that U used to get up in nights for water.
Anyways, Let us hope that I should be able to contrtol my sugar soon!

Hey girls thanks a lot for ur best wishes. Today I had a appoinment with my doctor and she told me that there is a possiblity for diabetis since i have put on more weight this time. Also my BP was 128 where it used to be 120.
But which is not really thing to worry.
Let us see what happens in Tomorrow's test. yeah I do feel great because all of u are with me. In the morning after a long time I had a fight with my DH. I think this should not happen and I should not get disturbed. So now I have told myself to be very clam. I am thinking of the little angle and I am ready to do anything for the little one ..
We didnot do much for the long weekend. This friday we are giving baby shower to one of my friends. Her mom already has arrived adn she is in 35th week now. Baby has taken the right position and doctor has told that she can deliver any time.!! Things were very complicated intially for her case and now everything is Just fine !
Yes my fingers are crossed !Nikki, how are you feeling right now? Nice that U went to Satue of Liberty. I had been there in December!

Hi Priya, I m sorry that im replying so late but u know i was so busy itching myself on the whole body as i got reaction of the iron shots. Ive been thru hell with all the rashes & burns but fm today its mproving. I was surprised to see this new form of message pages. This site is doing good it seems.My glucose level at 1 st time was 171, so i woud say be prepared for both the situations. As vidhya mentioned, avoid carbos & fats. Lets see kal kya hota hai!! But always keep in mind that whatever happens is for good. & the good thing about GD is that it will make ur life disciplined in ur food habits which is very good for ur baby's health as well as urs. and it is not very difficult to give up everything we like to eat just for the sake of little angel. It will be easy so relax & see what happens! Weekends the weather was not so good so cudnt go anywhere to stay overnight. monday was good so i went to see statue of Liberty. After a long time i felt i was going out to some sight seeing with my dh & i felt so good. I just forgot every pain that im having. I guess i deperately needed that break. Just take care & u r not alone so just dont worry.And dont try to think back why u got GD or what were the symptoms. Forget it & enjoy whatever comes.

Really sorry to hear that you failed your 1hr glucose test. But dont worry i know a lot of people who failed the 1hr and managed to pass the 3hr without any problem. Just make sure you watch your diet, and try and reduce your carbohydrate & sugar intake. when drinking milk try to put less sugar or no sugar atall, also reduce lenthils, chic-peas etc as they have high level of carb in them apart from proteins. well my prayers are with you and i'm sure you will be able to pass the 3hr without having to watching your blood-sugar level everyday like myself & Niki. Keep your fingers crossed and let know how everything goes. Good luck. Vidhya
