Speak to your doctor and make sure your little one has all of his shots. How long do you intend on travelling to India for? Just keep a few things in mind, this is what I did when I went (my child was nearly 3 months old)

1) If you are not bf then make sure the water is boiled.
2) Sterlize the bottles well
3) Take your own formula and plenty of it depending on how long you intend on staying there.
4) When people come to visit, ask them nicely but be firm or ask your mother or MIL to tell them to wash their hands before picking up or touching your baby. You have to do this and should do this even in the US. In India there is more pollution in the air therefore more infections.
5) Ask your mom to buy a net to cover the baby when he is sleeping.
6) Take all the medications from here unless of course you are okay with giving medicine there
7) Make sure you have a doctor there whom you can trust.

It takes time to settle in with a new baby and no help. You will be able to do it, just relax, enjoy the times and do what you can. Don't over stress yourself. When your son naps, you should nap as well. I know I used to say well that is the only time I can do anything. Take a couple of naps during the day with your baby and work during the others.

It helps. It will be fine and things will look better.
