Problems in School:Admission of Twins
2013-10-01
Name: P R

HI Friends!
I am having Twins Ayush & Ayushi and am seeking admission for them into nursery in schools of Kandivali,Mumbai.
I have the following Q:
1. Does getting admission for twins make the task easier or difficult for parents.
2. Is there any concession offered for multiple wards of same age?
3. Which school is good for nursery in Kandivali Thankur Village area.

Would highly appreciate a quick and genuine response. Thans in advance.

PR for twins the admission procedure is same always. Nowadays most of the parents are going through a lot of trouble when it comes to admission as here are a lot of procedures which they have to face.

It is not difficult to get admission for twin, it depends on the availability of seats there and if seats are there then you won't have any problem in getting both your kids admission. Ask them about the number of seats before applying.

Getting admission for twins in a nursery is as difficult or as easy as it is for a single child. I do not think or have ever heard of any discount or concession offer for multiple wards being enrolled in the same nursery.

Try Orchids International in Mumbai. It is pretty good. My friend has triplets and they study there she has had a good experience with them so far. I think you can get concession and this should make it easier for you to get admission. However, merit is still important.

I stay in Thakur Village and my daughter goes to Gundecha. It is one of the best in this area. It affliated to ICSE board school. I am quite satisfied with the school. I have heard that it is also opening an IGSCE school, so choose whichever board you like. The best part is that it saves a lot of commuting time and also they do not take any donations. Teaching methods are also remarkable.

Hi

I have taken admissions in Orchids The International School in Bangalore. Innovative teaching methodology and other activities attracted me a lot to select this school.

I do not think that getting twins admitted is a difficult task. You need to do as much research as you do for a single child. Admissions for twins are neither easier nor difficult. You have to check out the policies of school though about the same.

Rightly said Tuhina. The admission process is no different from single child and the only factor is that you have to get two kids admitted at the same time. But yes the process can be bit difficult as you have to prepare both the kids for interview and admission procedure. Sometimes it so happens that one of the twins clears the interview process and get admission while the other one may have to try luck in some other school. So parents have a big responsibility in preparing the kids for the whole admission process.
Some schools do provide concessions for multiple wards but they are few. My kids are in a reputed public school in Andheri but the school does not give any concessions.
